Ove godine Festival viteških igara Korčula donosi sedam večeri posvećenih bogatoj i stoljetnoj tradiciji mačevnih plesova otoka Korčule. Kroz nastupe viteških udruženja i folklornih skupina, publika će imati priliku upoznati Morešku, Kumpaniju i Moštru – jedinstvene plesove koji se generacijama prenose i čuvaju kao vrijedan dio kulturne baštine našega otoka.
POSEBNO U VELOJ LUCI
U ponedjeljak, 7. rujna u 21:00 sat, Vela Luka će po prvi put ugostiti HGD Sv. Cecilija iz Korčule i njihovu Morešku!
Na Pijaci ispred crkve sv. Josipa imat ćemo priliku uživo doživjeti Morešku – tradicionalni viteški ples s mačevima, jednu od najprepoznatljivijih tradicija grada Korčule.
Posebno nam je zadovoljstvo što upravo Vela Luka postaje jedna od sedam festivalskih pozornica ovogodišnjeg izdanja te što ćemo po prvi put ugostiti HGD Sv. Cecilija.
Ulaz na sve festivalske večeri je slobodan.

The Korčula Sword Dance Festival brings together the island’s traditional sword dance associations, proudly preserving and performing unique dances with swords – Moreška, Kumpanija and Moštra – symbols of courage, unity and centuries-old tradition.
This year’s festival features seven evenings, taking place from 2 to 13 September in different locations across the island, celebrating Korčula’s rich cultural heritage and traditional sword dances.
SPECIAL EVENT IN VELA LUKA
On Monday, 7 September at 9:00 PM, Vela Luka will have the opportunity to welcome HGD Sv. Cecilija from Korčula and their Moreška for the first time!
Taking place at the square in front of St. Joseph’s Church, the evening will feature Moreška, the traditional sword dance and one of the most distinctive cultural traditions of the town of Korčula.
We are especially pleased that Vela Luka is part of this year’s festival programme and that, for the first time, we will have the opportunity to welcome HGD Sv. Cecilija and their performance of Moreška.
Admission to all festival evenings is free.
